PUBLIC OPINION STRATEGIES NAMES FOUR NEW PARTNERS

Alexandria, VA – Public Opinion Strategies is pleased to announce the promotion of four Vice Presidents to join the firm’s partnership in 2007. The new partners are Rob Autry, Elizabeth Harrington, Patrick Lanne and Nicole McCleskey.
“These four individuals have made significant contributions to the Firm, our clients and our communities, and it is a privilege to announce their elevation to partnership,” said Neil Newhouse, partner and founding member of Public Opinion Strategies.
“Each new partner has developed superior survey research skills and a deep commitment to their clients. This is just one more step in continuing to expand our partnership and practice, and providing our clients with a truly national perspective,” said Newhouse.
Public Opinion Strategies polled for more winning campaigns and ballot issues than any other firm in the country in 2006. According to National Journal, Public Opinion Strategies “scored the best win-loss record among major polling and media firms in the 2004 election.” For its work in the 2002 election, Public Opinion Strategies was named Pollster of the Year by the American Association of Political Consultants.
Biographical information on the new partners:
While at Public Opinion Strategies, Rob Autry has managed nearly 2,000 quantitative and qualitative political research projects. Autry serves as pollster and political strategist for numerous mayors, state legislators, statewide officeholders, and Members of Congress. In the 2006 elections, Autry was the co-pollster for two open-seat Republican Congressional victories: Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (MN-6) and David Davis (TN-1). He also polled for independent expenditure efforts on behalf of the Republican National Committee and the National Republican Congressional Committee.
Elizabeth Harrington has more than ten years of polling and market research experience. Since joining Public Opinion Strategies in 1998, her work has focused on public affairs and public policy research, conducting and managing more than $20 million in both qualitative and quantitative research projects. Harrington’s research experience extends to a variety of issues, such as health care, Medicare, Medicaid, prescription drugs, children’s issues, international issues, crisis management, mergers and acquisitions, corporate image research, media testing and public education campaigns.
Patrick Lanne has completed research for successful political campaigns at all levels, including the Republican Governors Association and the Mitch Daniels campaign, helping Daniels become the first challenger to defeat an incumbent Governor in Indiana in more than 100 years. Lanne is also heavily in involved in state legislative races: in 2006, he helped four caucuses defend their majorities while facing tough political environments. He is based in New York.
Since joining Public Opinion Strategies nine years ago, Nicole McCleskey’s range of research experience has expanded to include political campaigns at every level, public affairs, and the growing field of litigation research. Based in Albuquerque, McCleskey has increasingly focused her work in the pivotal West/Southwest region, the battleground for 2008 and beyond.
