Public Opinion Strategies congratulates Congressman-elect
Randy Neugebauer, a POS client, on his hard fought victory
to become the newest member of Congress, representing Texas'
Nineteenth Congressional District.
Neugebauer started the race in fifth place with just 7% of
the vote according to our January benchmark survey. However,
Neugebauer's aggressive campaign across the district helped
him vault ahead of several better-known opponents in the May
3rd primary, and to victory in yesterday's run-off.
"Randy and the rest of his team deserve a lot of credit
for winning a race when most observers expected other candidates
to beat him out," said Glen Bolger.
Randy Neugebauer becomes the 52nd Republican member of the
House of Representatives that Public Opinion Strategies polls
for. In the 2002 cycle, POS polled for ten new members of
the House. Over the past four cycles, POS has helped elect
more than 50 new members of the US House, more than any other
polling firm, Republican or Democrat. Overall, Public Opinion
Strategies also polls for twelve U.S. Senators, ten Governors,
and numerous state legislative caucuses.
