largest economic generator in Ohio since its inception in
2000. She has polled on numerous other types of issues, including
judicial reforms (Colorado), legal reforms (Nevada), stadiums
(Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals), education reform,
gaming, taxes, and labor issues.
Weigel also has a unique niche as a “conservative
conservationist.” She has polled extensively for conservation
organizations, including The Nature Conservancy, the Trust
for Public Land, Environmental Defense, National Wildlife
Federation, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the Wilderness
Society, the League of Conservation Voters, the International
Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, and the Nicholas
Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions at Duke University.
This has included extensive research on renewable energy,
climate change, land conservation, and water quality issues.
She has lectured at numerous universities
and women’s political forums, and has appeared on C-Span
and the Fox News Channel. She is frequently quoted on politics,
including in The New York Times, the New Republic, and
other major publications. Her polling has also been featured
in U.S. News & World Report, the San Diego
Union Tribune and the Chicago Tribune.
Weigel has also directed polling in over a dozen countries
on four continents, including at the presidential and legislative
levels. She conducted one of the most extensive and earliest
polling projects in Russia and Ukraine, where she also taught
survey research techniques to fledgling political parties.
Her experience polling on policy issues extends to such varied
areas as health care, energy, land use, recreation, technology,
litigation/trial consulting, corporate image, employee/union
relations and crisis management.
Before moving to Colorado, she polled for a Gallup affiliate
in Washington D.C., worked on Jack Kemp's presidential campaign,
and for the National Federation of Republican Women. She
graduated cum laude from Georgetown University's
School of Foreign Service with a B.S. in International Politics.
An avid sports fan, and film enthusiast, she lives in Golden
with her husband and two young children.
